In 2013, I began my career teaching foundations courses at Memphis College of Art. I cannot say how fortunate I've been to have the most talented students. They have won all sorts of awards, published books, become web, game, and graphic designers. I built courses in Color theory, 2D Design, and Digital Foundations (applications involving the Adobe Suite) at Memphis College of Art. And, I also taught at Arkansas State University in West Memphis, before moving to Seattle in 2016, when I began teaching in the video game and graphic design departments at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Most recently, I am teaching in the Art Department at South Seattle College. I have taught courses in 2D Design, 3D Design, Digital Art (beginner to advanced), Drawing 1, Drawing 2, Drawing 3, and Digital Photography. In fall of 2019 I became fascinated with online teaching and the ability to build a virtual classroom. It gives the instructor amazing abilities to "flip the classroom." The results have given me more one-on-one time to devote to my students and that makes such a huge difference in their instruction.
